Woburn Men’s Softball Rules
These rules are specific to Woburn Men’s Softball and supercede any and all ASA rules.
- No Drinking at Library park
- If you choose to drink ( at your own risk ) please do so at the top field by the fence and use a cup
- Two forfeits without properly notifying the league will result in expulsion from the league with no league fee refund
- If a team forfeits, they are responsible for BOTH team’s umpire fees for the forfeited game. Please contact Ed McGrath to submit payment prior to you next game. If payment terms have not been agreed to or submitted, that team will forfeit the next game resulting in expulsion of the league with no league fee refund
- Players must have at least 10 games played to qualify for the playoffs. It is the manager’s job to keep track of the opposing team’s players. Any questions at the end of the regular season will have to be figured out by checking the scorebooks of the teams in question. ( So keep track of the opposing teams lineup )
- If a player is ejected, there is a two game suspension following that game. The game the player is ejected is not included in that two game suspension
- Please see illegal bats document for what bats you can and can’t use. If a player uses an illegal bat, a two game suspension will result
- If a pitcher is taken out of a game, that player cannot go back and pitch in the same game
- Please clean up any trash left behind on the benches and in the parking lots
- You can drop any player from the bottom of your order at anytime in the game but you can’t drop down to 9 players.
- For any scheduling changes please notify the league as soon as possible. Preferably before the season starts
